Angela Cotterell is proficient in the following:

01

Psychological Assesments

There are many different approaches to therapy, each with its own techniques and strategies. Generally, though, therapy tries to educate a person more about their condition, how to identify productive or negative thoughts or feelings, and how to cope with difficult circumstances.

One of the benefits of therapy is that it allows you to see a situation from a different perspective and better identify your thought processes, depression or anxiety triggers. It also helps address issues such as a death in a family, past or present failing relationships or even dealing with issues at work.

03

Young Adult Psychotherapy

I know the challenges of being a teen and how it feels to be alone with your problems. I provide a safe space to explore the teen’s identity and present problem-solving mechanisms for them to realise their full potential.

04

Child Psychotherapy

If the normal course of secure attachment between parent and infant is disrupted, parent–infant psychotherapy is one technique that can be used to restore this bond.

05

Couples & Family Therapy

Through couple and family therapy I work to improve intimate relationships and resolve interpersonal conflicts and find tools to nurture change and development.

06

Medico-Legal/Psycho-Legal

Medico-legal/Psycho-legal evaluations and reports are required when medical/ psychological knowledge is sought to answer legal questions.
